The Story of

BEEBOPCAFE.TV

BEEBOPCAFE.TV began as a vision shared by two kindred spirits—Simeon Iliev and Ivan Nedelev—who, in the midst of 2020, set out to virtually extend the beating heart of one of Bulgaria’s most beloved music venues: Bee Bop Cafe in Plovdiv.

For years, Bee Bop Cafe had been a haven for global sounds, far from the pull of the commercial music machine. A place where jazz, experimental, funk, soul, and countless other genres came alive—not for mass appeal, but for love, craft, and connection. When the world paused in 2020, Simeon and Ivan asked a powerful question: What if this space didn’t have to be confined by four walls?

What followed was the birth of BEEBOPCAFE.TV—a bold, grassroots effort to transform a small, local venue into a world-class live-streaming concert stage. Drawing on Ivan’s deep experience in live sound engineering and Simeon’s years in enterprise IT, the duo combined tech, art, and grit to design a virtual stage where geography no longer mattered. Music, after all, knows no borders.

The dream grew.

Joined by Ivan Paleykov, a filmmaker with a sharp eye and soulful approach to visual storytelling, they turned Bee Bop Cafe into a live TV studio—small in size but massive in ambition. Sourcing high-end gear, building from scratch, and driven by the mantra "there’s no time for post-production", they committed to achieving the highest possible quality live, in the moment.

Soon, Stoyko Milev, a renowned musician in his own right, brought his artistic sensibility to the mix as a live video director, bringing visual rhythm to the sound. Then came Krasimir Atanasov, whose camera work added yet another layer of depth to the live experience.

Together, this crew became more than a team—they became a movement.

Over the years, more than 350 concerts have been captured—each one a time capsule of authentic, unfiltered musical expression. These performances form the living archive of BEEBOPCAFE.TV, and they’re just the beginning.

What’s Next

The platform is entering an exciting new phase. Soon, BEEBOPCAFE.TV will offer a community-driven subscription model, giving supporters full access to the ever-growing archive of concerts—on-demand, from anywhere in the world.

This subscription isn’t about turning culture into profit. It’s about sustainability, shared value, and giving back. The funds will help cover the essential expenses of production and platform development, while ensuring that musicians receive a fair share of every subscription and pay-per-view. Fairness isn't a feature—it's the foundation.

For performers, a dedicated dashboard will offer transparent analytics: view counts, engagement stats, pay-per-view breakdowns, and more. Artists will always know how their work is resonating—and where.

BEEBOPCAFE.TV remains committed to the idea that music is universal, that small venues can echo across the globe, and that technology can serve culture—not the other way around.

This is concert culture without compromise.

This is music with no borders.

This is BEEBOPCAFE.TV.
